1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They help the site remember your session, preferences, or usage patterns. Similar technologies (local storage) may be used for the same purposes where noted.
2. How ContoDesk uses cookies
We use the following categories:
Strictly necessary (session / auth)
Required to sign you in and keep your session secure while you use ContoDesk. These cannot be turned off while using the authenticated app without losing functionality.
Preferences
contodesk_lang — remembers your language choice (e.g. English / Hindi) so the interface displays in your preferred language on subsequent visits.
Analytics (public pages only)
Google tag GT-NBXH9LKH — loaded via Google Analytics / Google Tag on public pages only (such as login and other marketing or informational pages). It is not loaded on authenticated shopkeeper app screens (dashboard, billing, inventory, customers, GST, etc.) so shop business activity is not tracked for analytics.
Purpose: understand how visitors find and use our public pages so we can improve the product landing experience. Data collected is governed by Google's policies as well as our Privacy Policy.
3. Cookies we do not use on the app
We do not load analytics cookies on authenticated in-app routes. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies for shopkeeper sessions.
4. How to control cookies
- Browser settings — most browsers let you block or delete cookies. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent sign-in.
- Google Analytics opt-out— install Google's browser add-on or adjust ad/analytics settings as described at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
- Language cookie — clear site data for ContoDesk in your browser to reset language preference.
5. Changes
We may update this Cookie Policy when we change how cookies are used. Check this page for the latest effective date.
